Today we went to PSU for Nate's first football game- Homecoming against Illinois.

The first things we saw were face painting (by the initiates of my old fraternity!) and this cut out, which Nate tried to turn into a game by throwing acorns through the holes (again, to the girl in the hole at the time, our apologies.)

Because he seemed to think we were at a carnival, when he saw Beaver Stadium, Nate told us, "I want to ride that ride!"

We stayed through half time, then left to check out the rest of Penn State.
(Note the well-cropped name on the left of the picture above!)

Nate took a nap in the stroller while we walked around down town and through campus. He did wake up to see the Nittany Lion, but we decided not to wait in the line for pictures today. He did check out this lion and told us "It's just like the
Lion of Sodor!" It's possible he watches too much Thomas.

On the way home we spotted
this place and made a U-turn to stop for dinner. Two delicious pulled pork sandwiches (and an order of chicken tenders) later, we're so glad we did!

Nate had a great time. When we asked him what his favorite part was, he said "The Lion!" Now, we're honestly not sure whether he meant "of Sodor" or "Nittany", but we're going to assume Nittany! We Are!!
